Google has offered a new version for YouTube since 1 year now, but now they completely changed the layout of YouTube to a new material one. Read here how to change it.
Some people say the new layout is shit, they want to have the old layout back. And some people don’t understand that because the new layout looks more modern and user friendly and it also has a new dark layout to protect your eyes at night.
Of course you can have your own favorite, and most people will accept the change and use the new layout without asking question like “why the f…?”.
But if you’re not on of them, you can change it back to the old layout design. There’s actually an official way to do that and an unofficial.
The official way is to click on your profile icon or the settings icon in the right top corner of YouTube and click on “Back To The Old Design”.
The unofficial way is if you signed into YouTube you can go to your dashboard and then you’ll see that they haven’t changed the layout for the dashboard. They are still using the old one on that page. So now if you click on the YouTube icon without refreshing the window you can use the old layout until you refresh your window. Then you will see the new design again and have to do it again or you the official way to do it.
