Nvidia patches several risks in GPU drivers

Security risks in multiple Nvidia video card drivers can be used for denial-of-service attacks, among other things. Patched versions are available for download from now on with GeForce Experience.

Several driver versions for the GeForce, Quadro, NVS and Tesla product lines of the graphics card company Nvidia for Windows and Linux have a many security risks.

According to a security bulletin, attackers could exploit them for denial-of-service attacks, code execution, information theft, and extension of their access-rights.

Some of the gaps were rated with a CVSS v3 score greater than 7. The risk they pose is therefore high and a timely installation of the available safe driver versions is advisable.
