Epic Games Store is giving away GTA 5 for free this week. Everyone wants to get it and download it, but the servers can’t handle it. Too many people are trying to download the game.
That’s why Epic Games has posted on Twitter about it saying that they currently have problems and you may get slow loading times, errors or crashing’s when try to start the Epic Games Store launcher.
We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store.

We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We'll provide an update as soon as we can.
This problem currently still exists and it may be resolved at night when there are not that many people trying to download it.
