According to the gamesindustry.biz website, Kantan Games CEO Serkan Toto said “Mario Kart 9 is in active development and comes with a new twist”.
He also mentioned that Nintendo could these the new Mario Kart this year 2022.
It’s about time
The most recent game, Mario Kart 8, was released for the Wii U on May 29, 2014, and the deluxe version for the Nintendo Switch was released on April 28, 2017. So it’s only a matter of time when the new Mario Kart appears.
Hopefully, the Switch, which is sadly getting old, can handle the new game, without the graphics looking washed out
