The Android operating system, Android Oreo with the version number 8.1 is now available to download for Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus devices.
It took almost a year for Xiaomi (Mi) to convert the new released Android Oreo to the smartphone Redmi 5 / Plus. It was available for some time in the beta channel for the phone updates but it had many bugs and wasn’t really enjoyable.
But now it is because it has reached the stable channel. That means that you can now download the upgrade to Android 8.1 to your Redmi device and enjoy the new features that Oreo is bringing.
Xiaomi is also optimizing and adding new features to the system camera app. That means you have more filters, better optimization and also a better UI (user interface).
