Since you want to build an audience, it’s important to let them know how your YouTube channel looks like. That’s why there is the possibility to add a big top banner image on your YouTube channel.
The first thing you need to do is, go to youtube.com and sign into your account. Select the channel which you want to add a banner to. Now go to your YouTube channel site. There you will find an button called “CUSTOMIZE CHANNEL”. Click on it and it will take you to the old YouTube design.
After you have pressed the button, you will get back to the old YouTube layout. There you will find another button called “Add channel art”. Click on it.
If you have pressed the button, a little menu appears where you can upload an image to YouTube. But if you don’t have an image or a banner yet, you can take a sample photo. Just click on “Gallery” and choose your desired image.
After you have done that, you can go back to your channel and look at your new banner image.
Of course you can change it anytime and unlimited times.
