If you always liked the browser design of Microsoft Edge but wanted to stay using Mozilla Firefox, there is a solution now!
You can have Microsoft Edge’s design on Firefox! Read here how to get it and how to install it.
Reddit user u/steht has made a post in the subreddit r/FirefoxCSS about this modification. It changed the whole tab design, the address bar and also the context menu.
This is how it looks like
The tab and address bar are now bigger, which is good for the design. You also have shadows on the active tab.
If you always hated the context menu of Firefox, there is this option now! You not only have bigger buttons but a dark context menu which has the Microsoft Edge design.
This is the only menu where there is a bug in the design. As you can see, you still have black bars around the menu in the Bookmarks menu.
How to install it
This is a bit tricky if you’re not tech-savvy. But still, you can do it.
- Click on the menu button in your browser. Click on “Help” and then on “Troubleshooting Information”.
- Now a list opens up. Search for section “Profile Folder” and click on the “Open Folder” button.
- Now download this file and move the “chrome” folder into your profile folder.
- Now restart your browser and you should have this new cool Windows 10 Microsoft Edge design on Mozilla Firefox.
