If you ever saw a high number on your WordPress Dashboard you will realize that you are under attack by automatic bots. Learn to fight them in this post and protect your WordPress site from automated bots.
27,195. That is the number of how many attacks Fawove gets. And usually they don’t do anything because we are protected. Protected with what? Well, that’s why there is this post to help you keep bots out of your site. Because these automated scripts are made to figure out your WordPress login password. And someday, they will have it. You just have to wait long enough.
How to fight these scumbags?
Well, that’s easier than you think. You basically just have to install a plugin and enable it. This is a tutorial to help you set up the plugin.
First, you need to install the plugin. Go to your plugin manager and search for the new plugin. The plugin is called “Login No Captcha reCAPTCHA”. So just write it in the search box and install it.
As you can see this plugin adds a reCAPTCHA form to your login page, so bots will never be able to log in to your WordPress Admin Dashboard. reCAPTCHA is made by Google and is the most used and most trusted captcha form on the web.
Now, after you have downloaded the plugin, active it by clicking on the button. Go to Settings > Login NoCaptcha to set up the plugin.
As you can see you have to insert some codes to use it. So click on the link and it will redirect you to a Google site, where you can create a new captcha form.
After you have set up the form, go ahead and copy and paste the codes into your plugin settings page. After you have done that, you are ready to go!
Now you can see a Google reCaptcha form on your WordPress login page. So next time you want to login, you have to click on the captcha to prove you’re a human. And that is where robots fail.
Please share this post if it helped you to set up the plugin!
