LastPass will allow only one device type for free users

The popular password manager LastPass will limit how you can use it if you are a free user.

Til March 16th you can use it like before, but after the 16th you can only use one device type. And that choice makes LastPass not very useful in the free tier. But there are alternatives.

We’re making changes to how Free users access LastPass across device types. LastPass offers access across two device types – computers (including all browsers running on desktops and laptops) or mobile devices (including mobile phones, smart watches, and tablets). Starting March 16th, 2021, LastPass Free will only include access on unlimited devices of one type.

Switch to Bitwarden

There are so many reasons why you should switch to Bitwarden. Not only you can use it with as many devices as you like, no it’s also free. You can also import all of your LastPass passwords to Bitwarden.

If you want you can even host it yourself so that your passwords don’t sync in Bitwarden’s cloud.
